Lizzie is home
Our lovely Lizzie is back home. She went to Royal Park Shires, but unlike the boys that they rehomed Lizzie doesn’t want to do any work. She wants to be a pampered field ornament. Thanks to Gillies transport as always…

UPDATE.. She was at court yesterday, she thought she would get off, she even left her car in the carpark. Lie after lie, after lie, she told. Very confident to the point of being cocky.
There will be a full press release soon, either today or tomorrow. I don’t know all the details but she got 36 weeks in prison and a ban from keeping animals.
There were just short of 40 greyhounds in the kennels, no food or water, all emaciated, some to the point of collapse, some dead and rotting. ” unable to walk” “dead in kennel decomposing” “couldn’t move lying it’s own faeces and urine”
One greyhound girl, they thought she was dead, she moved but died shortly afterwards.
Numerous had to be put to sleep.
All snippets from the court yesterday.
The ones with even the slightest chance were taken to York rspca. I believe most recovered and have been rehomed.
The governing regulator for the racing industry had been to her kennels the SCI. The stipendary steward visited too before the authorities got involved. I don’t know who went first or what the timescales were. I don’t care.
The truth of the matter is, she is only one of a number of vile greyhound trainers. Yes there are some good ones and even they will be sickened today. But to be fair the majority of them don’t care. With hundreds and hundreds, even thousands of greyhounds backing up in racing kennels there will and have been other cases like this, “the drunk who went on a bender” for example.
Make no mistake, whilst she was feeding her terriers in the house she left the greyhounds in the kennels to die and if someone hadn’t have spoken up, they all would have.
Make no mistake whilst this was happening she was still a licensed GBGB greyhound trainer. They are bleating on one of the forums…..do you what they are saying? Here you go.
WTF story breaking days leading up to the sports biggest night of the year Derby final,GBGB kept asking RPPCA to back up with data why they want the sport banned.
Now they have got some a licensed trainer jailed for animal neglect, with all the so-called regulations and checks put in place by the GBGB.
Now all the decent people in the sport are going to have to put up with all the looks and snide remarks,
While the anti-brigade rattle there cans.
A VERY SORRY OUTCOME FOR THE WHOLE OF GREYHOUND RACING
To recap….they don’t care….it’s the Derby in 3 days.
And this is exactly why this so called sport needs banning.
GBGB you are an absolute disgrace.
Cuddle your dogs tightly, they could have so very easily not been by your side.

I flagged this vile woman up over 20 years ago. This industry will never change. They have had decades to sort out the welfare of their dogs and they simply can’t do it. They have been trying really hard to keep this under wraps, we cannot and must not forget about all those poor dogs. Please don’t think this is an isolated case, it isn’t.
There are hundreds, probably thousands of greyhounds just sat waiting in trainers kennels for homes. I’ve no doubt they are blaming the cost of living crisis, they will never blame themselves.
We have had a donation by bacs of £1900.00 on the 24th March
We don’t know who it’s from, but we would like to say a huge thankyou for that and the other donations made…
Thanks ever so much….Deb
Thank you to Debra and Bob for allowing us to take in Wilbur as a Foster dog and for being willing to meet up half way. Well it turned out a bit further for them than us to be honest. He is settling in surprisingly well so far and seems to have made himself at home.
Wilbur enjoying a sunny day out at Lunan bay yesterday . He loves the beach and a paddle but didn’t like the waves too much. He also made new friends in the cafe. He seems to make friends wherever he goes.
As you can probably see, I am learning to update the website….badly.
Anyhow, James & Ally and the beautiful greyhound Ada have just sent us a lovely donation of £200.
They own the above business and will be donating 20% of all sales to Tia.
That is absolutely amazing….Thank you, a lot….Deb..
