Magic
Ruffian Magic, born 8/9/21

Followers of the Tia Facebook page will have read about Magic in the last week or so; this young greyhound girl was quite poorly, but is thankfully doing better now.
It started in February – she looked fine, but something wasn’t quite right. She became a very picky eater and was losing weight rapidly, so we got her checked out.
Her platelets – which should have been over 150 – were 6.
The vet thinks she’s had a nasty kidney infection, which may or may not have caused permanent damage; we just need to keep going with the medication. Thankfully it is not the horrible C word.
She has started eating more again, and has generally made a massive improvement, which is brilliant. She’s a little fighter, and her foster parents are absolutely made up.
The importance of foster people is massive. She has only been with them a couple of weeks, but she is seriously loved and being spoiled.
Keep going little greyhound girl, you have a lot to look forward to.
Thanks to everyone who has donated to help with her vet costs; any and all support is hugely appreciated. Donations accepted via bank transfer.

Ridley
Ridley, off to his new home on Orkney…be good big lad.

Domino
Gone in 60 seconds… well, 10 days. Domino was a stray from East Yorkshire, sprung from the pound in Hull. He has now gone to his new home with his foster mom and dad on the Isle of Skye.

Focker certainly took to him while he was here, and she doesn’t normally like other dogs, but she liked him a lot.

What a lucky boy. Be good Domino… and be happy.
Lennon
With 11 wins in his back catalogue, Lennon is looking for a change of direction.

This young, friendly boy isn’t asking for much… just love, love… love is all he needs… and a sofa (of course!).
Lennon is in Doncaster; if you can Help! and give him the retirement he deserves, please call Deb on 07974 960684.
Lulu
“If dogs did supermodels, Lulu would be gracing the cover of Vogue! She has it all – stunning looks, sweet temperament and a figure to envy. But Lulu is not yet living the high life and is dreaming of a sofa and people who worship her daily. Their ability to multi-task as her paparazzi, personal trainer, chef, chauffeur, stylist and social media manager is also preferred.”

Lulu is in Doncaster; please call Deb on 07974 960684 if you can make Lulu’s dreams come true.
We have lots of other dogs also looking for homes here.
Farm Sitting
The first farm sitters, Clare & Shane were here for a week and were amazing help.
Not just in the kennels, and doing the final checks on an evening, but they also got to take some dogs to the beach.
Of course they fell in love with Bellamy…

Thank you both.

Madam (Sizzling Madam)
born 2/06/21
Look at this little poppet.
Fits beautifully in one’s top pocket at 25kg. Any smaller and Madam could go in your handbag. In her last race the winner weighed a thumping 35 kgs. Madam never stood a chance and had the brains not to damage herself trying. A girly girl whose career petered out and needs a new career as a sofa ornament.
Madam can be seen in Doncaster.

Sha (Hang on Sha)
born Oct 2020
Sha could go around Towcester blindfold having raced there all her life. Weighing in at a respectable 30 kgs, this lass has 14 wins under her belt and earned her corn on many a cold night. Owes racing nothing and is ready to meet her new family.
Mia and Gracie’s sister. If you are half as good as those lasses, you will be fine. Sha is still with her trainer at Nottingham.

Lulu (Ruffian Helena)
born 02/09/20
What are you laughing for missus. Her form is nothing to laugh about, fifteen wins out of 79 runs. A better racer than her thumping big brother by a country mile. Lulu saw Buster go down the drive without a backward glance and now wants to beat him at that game too.
Not the biggest of girls, say 28 kilos on a big pants day. Pretty beautiful though, you have to admit and comes with bragging rights.
Still with her trainer at Doncaster.

Lennon (Let it be)
born 5/01/21
His brothers and sisters are all named after Beatles songs. Come Together, Revolution, Sergeant Pepper, the lot. Another tough racer who needs a new career. Lennon was racing up until eight weeks ago although the writing had been on the wall for a while. Eleven wins at Doncaster and thirty-two kilos of love. In Doncaster with his trainer still.
Needs someone to change his name to Yesterday, The Long and Winding Road, Hello Goodbye.
“We had the pleasure of taking this gorgeous boy out of kennels for the morning and he was so happy and excited to meet us. His trainer told us he loves being made a fuss of and he really does!
Lennon needed a little help getting into the car but I’m sure he would learn to jump in in no time. He laid straight down and was great on the journey, despite it all being so new. He loved having a sniff around when we first arrived and then walked happily and calmly on his lead. He enjoyed being out front but never pulled and was calm when we saw other dogs. He just looked across at them and carried on walking. Even when a smaller dog was barking at him, he showed very little interest, other than a quick glance. Lennon didn’t behave as if this was his first time out of the kennel environment and it was hard to believe he’d never been to the park before so we think he would settle quickly into his new home. He is a really kind and beautiful boy who will make someone very happy”.
Welcome Lennon.

Ace (Silverspring Ace)
born May 2021
Lovely type. Medium sized dog and a respectable end of career report card. We know very little about him at the moment except that he is beautiful and fed up with running around in circles. His form tailed off and that was it.
Ace can be seen with his trainer in Doncaster.

Swanley (Swanley Bridge)
born Nov 2021
Came last in his three trials. He ran alone in two! Connections were so embarrassed that he hasn’t left the yard since. A fabulous tuxedo greyhound.
Ready to embrace a new career trying out bed fails. Swanley is in Doncaster.
Bravo Swanley. Bravo.
