Ada

Ada

This is Ada, she is 5 years old on the 3rd April and was sold on Pets 4 Homes a few days ago for £200.

Fortunately a lovely lady saw her, bought her and then rang us.

Ada has allegedly been in a home for two years…lets find her a better one shall we?

Ebay shop

We have had to close the Ebay shop as moving forward we have no one to run it.

Poo bags and other bits can still be found on the shop on the website.

Our neighbours

https://www.macbethshillock.co.uk/

From the 13th April the dogs will be up at the new farm in their temporary kennels and the horses are going up on the 15th. That will be an impressive sight, we have booked the whole of Gillies Horse Transport Fleet.

If anyone wants to come up and help, Karen & George our neighbours own Macbeth’s Hillock and it is dog friendly. You would have to visit their page to check availability and book . The pods  look lovely and are within walking distance of Tia…It really would be appreciated as I have no idea if we will be able to afford any staff in the immediate future.

Thanks Deb

Sponsor Sunday

Sponsor Sunday

We are having a Sponsor Sunday here at the kennels on Sunday 3rd April,  10am – 2pm

We are just inviting all our lovely sponsor people to come and visit their sponsor animals before they head off up North.

Some of the dogs can go out for walks in the orchard, the ones that can’t you can visit in the paddocks.

If you want to fetch sardines, ham or sausage rolls they will appreciate it.

Cariad, ex-Tia girl winning at Crufts!

Cariad, ex-Tia girl winning at Crufts!

April took Cariad down to Crufts on Friday, and this is what happened…

She was an absolute angel and took it all in her stride, you’d think she did it every day.I honestly can’t believe it, we went along with the mindset of how many people get the chance to show at Crufts and never imagined we would come away with a first (Special Racing) and second (post-grad)! Everyone loved her and she lapped up all the attention and treats and especially loved her ostrich bone reward. After all the excitement of yesterday she is back to practicing her favourite past time which is snoozing on the sofa! Thank you for entrusting her with us and we hope we’ve done you and Tia proud!

The first load..

The first load left 3 weeks ago…Bob’s tractor and the new kennel partitions that were made eighteen months ago. We have had vans and wagons up and down the motorway since then. It’s all systems go. I will keep everyone updated…

Thanks Deb

About me

Racy Power      dob  01/07/2015

Four years old as of early 2020. To be honest he is as keen as mustard. You may notice he doesn’t have any white markings. Dick Francis would get it.

Blissfully unaware of the dust-up he caused and Arthur cost the Charity a small fortune in bacon sandwiches, gravy dinners and cakes. Then we had to wash up!

Not a dog for a novice but it is a shame to think he will never leave our care.

Far far luckier than he knows.

UPDATE…after almost 4 years at Tia Arthur has finally decided he should get himself a home. He cried his eyes out when his kennel mate Pela was rehomed and wouldn’t ever kennel with anyone else. He has however decided that he will live in a home with 2 girls….greedy boy.  Good luck Arthur…..

Rupert

Rupert

Rupert has had a terrible life and is lucky to be alive. Rupert deserves a home, a proper one. Not out working and having your face ripped off by badgers or being tied up to the bins in a notorious area in Doncaster, emaciated, infected and half dead.

Thanks to the Police who fetched him to us. I didn’t think his lip could be fixed but thanks to Chris from Donaldson’s, again, for doing a belting job.

Lovely, lovely soft  dog who fell amongst thieves but is now ready to go back out into the world

Leah

Leah

Leah has found herself a foster home…

Leah, she is around 12 years old and has been let down by a horrible selfish person. She is a lovely old girl who deserved better. She needs a foster home where she will be spoilt rotten to the end of her days, not just to when you can’t be bothered anymore. All vets fees will be covered at Donaldsons vets.
