Malcolm

Malcolm

There was a review in Parliament this week, people asking for racing to banned.

But one absolute joke of a human being, Ian Lavery basically said that the dogs are kept better than his own kids and you can eat your food off the kennel floors.

Tell this dog that who has just spent a week in the stray kennel.

Apparently he hasn’t met one person who is horrible to greyhounds. And the majority of the stories of mistreatment are made up.

Maybe he needs to move or go to Specsavers. The arrogant, ignorant idiot.

Oh and Malcolm only has one testicle and horrible teeth…that’s going to be another big vet bill that we cannot afford.

Still there isn’t a problem with greyhound racing is there?

A right pasting

A right pasting

Yep, we have had a right pasting over the past few months with the Shires.

First we lost Reggie, then Victoria, then Hugo and yesterday my wonderful Thunder. The trouble with the big horses is they have a lot of weight to carry around.

Thunder was my first Shire horse….the biggest, softest gentleman there ever was.

It is a really bad time, but at least they were all loved right up to their very last breath…

It has suddenly become all very real.

Pickering Shop

The Pickering shop is running low on donations. If you are passing through over the Easter holidays could you please pop in if you have anything…

This is our only shop now and we desperately need the money.

Thanks Deb

Henry & William

Just look at these two magnificent boys. They were adopted by Royal Park Shires, along with Lizzie a beautiful grey mare.

Here they are pulling a charabanc…It is wonderful when the owners keep in touch.

Sadly it is not always the case. Last year one of our ponies was shot, they never contacted us for advice or help. They just took matters into their own hands. They did pay dearly for it. They settled out of court.

Last week another of our adopters sent a long email in asking if they could sell their adopted pony as they wanted to recoup their costs. They said they would split the money with us though as they knew we needed the money. Needless to say, said pony was back in the yard the same day.

I had no reason not to trust these people, none at all. Just goes to show how wrong you can be.

So when this picture came through it was just lovely and very, very heart warming in these awful times.

Too many dogs

The temporary kennels are up, eight days it took,  but we simply don’t have enough to accommodate all the dogs.

We really need homes in the next couple of weeks for Rupert, Elias, Arlo, William, Layla and Ada.

Ada

Ada

This is Ada, she is 5 years old on the 3rd April and was sold on Pets 4 Homes a few days ago for £200.

Fortunately a lovely lady saw her, bought her and then rang us.

Ada has allegedly been in a home for two years…lets find her a better one shall we?

Bale squeeze

Ebay shop

We have had to close the Ebay shop as moving forward we have no one to run it.

Poo bags and other bits can still be found on the shop on the website.
