Kellie (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Kellie (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Kellie (Sparta Kellie)

born Jun 21

Mum had one litter, eleven pups and only Kellie and one another did anything to write home about. Her sister won last night at Waterford, in some style.  The other nine never even made the track.

Kellie won five races but her form tailed off, wisely her connections threw in the towel. The lady is described as a quiet sort , but could use a few lessons on the lead.

River (Doncaster Kennel 3)

River (Doncaster Kennel 3)

River (Monbeg River)

born Jan 22

Likes to go for walks and be out and about.  No-one told him that you had to move a bit faster to get on a track. River was last in a race in Ireland, beaten 14 lengths and ended up in Doncaster. Six frankly un-inspiring trials later and the trainer refused to be further embarrassed.

Jim (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Jim (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Jim (Emers Jim)

born July 22

Tuxedo greyhound. Stunning. Born in Ireland. Failed to impress in his first run and red carded for life in his second. Bravo Jim.

We love this sort.

Dolly (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Dolly (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Dolly (Tomahurra Jane)

born Jul 22

Much as we would like to tell you about her final race we cannot. Lulu last raced on Boxing Day in heavy fog and no-one knows what happened.

Dolly trialled again this month but failed to meet the cut.

Stupid game anyway.

Rolo (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Rolo (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Rolo (Redbrick Rolo)

born Oct 21

Described as soft as Oat. Delightful. Four attempts to get his career started to no avail, Rolo has been lozzicking at his trainers expense since March 24.

Playful, sweet and first to give a cuddle. There won’t be a dry eye in the house when he leaves.

Jonas (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Jonas (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Jonas (Redbrick Mars)

born Oct 21

Very quiet and unsure. Needs someone understanding to bring him out of his shell. Jonas will find his way with the right family. Last saw a track in earnest Oct 23.

Miller (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Miller (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Miller (Redbrick Boost)

born Oct 21

Quiet fellow.  Enough brains to now when and how to quit the ring. Miller won four races but frankly we don’t think his heart was in it. Just another big black dog, sitting in his kennel awaiting a family to overlook colour and size. Miller has been waiting a year now.

Rodney (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Rodney (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Rodney (Foxrock Rodney)

born Jan 22

His trainer claims he would sleep his life away of allowed. Well, his magnificent 33 kg honed athletic frame needs to recover from his exertions. Last raced back in October so lets face it he is milking it.

Large sofa and loving family required. New name wouldn’t go amiss.

JoJo (Doncaster Kennel 3)

JoJo (Doncaster Kennel 3)

JoJo (Redbrick Joanne)

born October 21

Quiet playful little girl. Poor JoJo injured her foot early in training and needed to have her toe amputated. Consequently, Jojo never once set foot on a track. Looks exactly like her sister Maggie (Redbrick Bounty).

Avery (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Avery (Doncaster Kennel 3)

Avery (Saleen Avery)

born July 21

Lovely quiet girl who loves being fussed. Came in last back in Oct and her connections called it a day. They’d had a few chicken dinners, courtesy of her efforts, mind you. Eight wins and finished in one piece. A sweetie.
