Tia at the Great Northern Food Festival

We are happy to announce that Tia have been invited to run a traditional sweet stall at the Great Northern Food Festival, to be held at Scampston Hall near Malton (YO17 8NG) on the bank holiday weekend of 28th-30th August. We will be selling a huge range of traditional sweets (as well as other Tia merchandise), so come and pay us a visit to support our charity, and hopefully make the event a success.

Also: the event is dog friendly, so bring your Greyhound or Lurcher along (other breeds are available). We hope to see you there!

More information about the festival is available on their website at https://greatnorthernfoodfestival.co.uk/.

Just to mix things up a bit. Did you two rehome him as well?
He was rehomed on Pets 4 Homes, he was dropped off with bowls and food and a collar and lead. You took £100. Sadly the new owner didn’t want him so he sold him on Facebook. Thankfully a very decent person bought him and rang us. There is a pattern emerging…
I bet you want to know his name….i bet you want to know his name.
Oh and if you are in any doubt. There are more……..

And this is Wallace, who came in with William. He was also rehomed by Paul and Anya.
Another five dogs were taken out of their flat by another rescue earlier on in the year…..for the love of God stop giving dogs to these idiots…
Minglers Vulcan bn 25/07/15 118 races under his belt and this is the thanks they get….
Racing weight 33.6kg
When he came to Tia 28kg

Can you believe this boy was racing on the 30th May this year? He was then rehomed/sold on ‘Preloved’ for £100, by a so-called rescue.
From the racing weight of 32 kilos to 25 kilos in eight weeks. Another couple of days and i dread to think what would have happened, probably the same as two of the others that the so-called “rehomers” had in their flat in Rotherham….6 greyhounds in a flat above a shop.
Congratulations guys, you are doing a grand job….Deb

William & Wallace ( was Alfie & Brady )

William is the white and black boy ( previously named Brady ) Mustang Brady bn 05/06/2016
125 races under his belt, his last one being in May this year.

Wallace is the black boy ( previously named Alfie ) Minglers Vulcan bn 23/07/2015
118 races under his belt, his last one being in February last year.

On Friday 30th July they were advertised for sale on Pets 4 Homes…£125 each or £200 for the pair. Fortunately they were seen and to cut a long story short they landed here at 9.30pm that night. All parties involved were upset and fuming at the same time.

The boys were so weak that i don’t think William would have lasted above a few days. They were emaciated, anaemic, absolutely covered in fleas and weak almost to the point of collapse. And the look in their eyes? Despair.
A small supper and off to bed they went.

It is now a week later and several baths later, regular small meals and their tails are starting to wag. They are so much happier.
It transpires that were sold by a couple called Anya and Paul. £80 each and they told the new owner the money was going to the Greyhound Trust…Yeah Right! When the owner advertised them on Pets 4 Homes she just wanted her donation money back, to this day she doesn’t think she has done anything wrong.
Anya and Paul, due to success of rehoming these dogs have put their prices up to £100 and are advertising on Preloved. Well done guys, well done….Just look at what you have done. You should be ashamed…
