Hebden Bridge shop

The Hebden Bridge shop will closing on Sunday 13th February. We will be selling off all the stock and the shop fittings, including the rails and scaffold board shelving and the vintage haberdashery counter.
The shops just aren’t viable anymore with everything going up. Fortunately we are at lease ends with them all, apart from Pickering  so this one will be staying open. To be honest it is a bit of a relief. I know we are going to take a massive hit financially but we can’t carry on as we have done.
I will be there all weekend if anyone wants to come and say goodbye/help.
I will be posting a full update on Tia soon.
Thanks Deb

Indoor Kennels

If anyone has any of our indoor kennels could you please return them, or if you have any large ones you don’t need could we have them please…

Thanks Deb

End of an era

End of an era

I think we have had a Charity shop in Halifax for around fifteen years and we have been in the one at Southgate for over ten years.  It has always been a decent shop, income wise. However come this April when everything goes up it will no longer be viable. We all know that everything is going up but they are even taking money off charities, all of us.

We used to get over half of our income from the shops which basically paid for the staff at the farm. It doesn’t take much working out that Tia is at the “End of an Era”….the whole model is having to change.

We have always had 100% rate relief on the shops but come April we will have to find 36%, as well as everything else. So yesterday the 28th January we closed our doors.

Thankyou to all our supporters/ donaters and shoppers over all these years. It is very sad.

But don’t worry, I have a plan. I am not giving up on these dogs, no matter what it takes, or where it takes us.

Oh Rupert

Oh Rupert

We have had Rupert for ten days now. I didn’t want to put him up any sooner as we were very worried about him initially. Nothing that regular small meals of Chappie and a warm comfy bed, and of course extra cuddles from my fab kennel staff couldn’t sort. He won’t be available for adoption any time soon. He is chipped but the only details that are registered is that he is 6 years old. If only he could talk, he would me more interesting than most of the lovely people stalking this page…..Deb….ffs

Boone (was Elliott) settling into his new home

Sometimes the greyhounds arrive here quite nervous, bless them, so it’s lovely to see them in their new homes. They do need that extra time to help settle and once they do their character begins to shine through. Here’s Elliott, now known as Boone, settling into home life with the help of Sponsor Dog Boe!
