Though I’m sure you won’t remember us, I thought you might remember our precious boy, Blaise (spelled Blaze at Tia) that we adopted from in 2018. Seeing as how many dogs are in your care at any given time, even if you don’t remember him that is just fine! As I often check the Tia website and read your news bulletins, I thought it might bring you and the staff at Tia some joy to read a little update about our sweet boy! My husband and I were living in North Yorkshire when we adopted Blaise and after a couple more wonderful years in the UK, the three of us moved home to Colorado in the U.S., where we have been ever since. From the moment we adopted Blaise, we instantly fell in love with him and we love him more and more everyday. He is goofy, sweet, and stubborn! Blaise has settled into his life in the U.S. very well.  He absolutely loves car rides (he’ll sleep, roaching upside down in the back seat while we drive), ice cream, and his daily walks three times a day during which he has to sniff every tree he comes in contact with . He has such a special bond with my husband and the two are thick as thieves. About two years ago, we adopted his brother, George a big black and white greyhound and the two of them together are so much fun.

Blaise is about to celebrate his 10th Birthday in April and he hasn’t slowed down one bit!

Since adopting Blaise, my passion for greyhounds has only grown. I am in such awe of their gentle nature and their resiliency.  With the horrid treatment they face on a daily basis, greyhound and galgo rescues such as Tia are so important and I have the utmost respect for the work you do to save and care for these majestic creatures.

Overall, I just wanted to thank you for rescuing Blaise. Our lives wouldn’t be the same without him! I have attached some pictures of Blaise and George.
