Save The Date

Save The Date

The manager at Boath House, Auldearn has very kindly invited us to do a Xmas event in the grounds of the hotel in the stunning 400 year old walled garden.

It is a stunning location and we can’t wait.

We have lots of stalls, including Vitamin Sea, Lawn & Order, Lemlem Candles, Jackie with her wood craft, Morgan with her lovely trinkets and paw prints of your dogs. We also have our lovely Olivia, Zara Arts Portraits who does wonderful pet portraits.  We will have our own stalls too, including a cake stall, tombola and a huge hamper to raffle..

But the main star of the show will be Santa, he is coming especially to see your lovely hounds and is making up goodie bags for the dogs right now…

Dandy our minaiture donkey will also be coming, he hates missing out on his Xmas appearances.

Boath House will be putting on hot drinks, hot chocolate, mulled wine and mince pies…so even if you don’t want to see Santa you can shop and be merry…It is free entry to the event and £8 to see Santa.

We do have availability for a few more stalls, so if you are interested in attending…please email deb@tia-rescue.org

Sunday the 3rd December 12noon – 4pm …. Save the date!!

3 years ago and the Charity was changed forever.. Thanks Covid for ruining everything…

Well here we go again, all our shops and 60% of our income has gone again overnight. Thanks to all our shop staff who had sales and tried to get as much money in as possible over the past few days.
We have had 100 bales of haylage delivered for the horses today and we have 4 pallets of dog food on it’s way. We already have lots and lots of food for the dogs, the only thing we are short of is sardines.
We are sitting tight and just hoping for the best. The calendars are for sale on ebay as is our other stock stuff, Xmas cards, aprons, tea-towels, poo bags, pin badges, hessian bags and rubber leads, so you can always do a bit of online shopping for us.
So it’s the same as always here, the animals still need looking after and that is what we are good at. We have some great staff here at the farm…We currently have 40 horses and 60 dogs to look after and looked after they will be.
We will start rehoming again next weekend, under very strict Covid rules….
Stay safe everyone and look after yourselves and your animals…

I am going to have to rehome Billy. He is absolutely gorgeous but he has obviously been in a house. He is trying to get in the house and the kennels.
I do not want this to end badly.
Rural home preferred.

Please ring if you offer this lad a 5 🌟 home.
He is neutered, vaccinated and chipped.
He arrived a couple of months ago, he is such a lovely big soft young cat…
Oh Ely

Oh Ely

I aren’t gonna lie, there are just some dogs that you fall in love with instantly, Ely was certainly one of them.
It was really hard to let him go but it was the right thing to do. He has gone to live with Jess and Millie. He only went on Wednesday and already he has been to the Pickering shop to meet our lovely Emma…

See you in February big soft lad…

Nothing has changed

Nothing has changed..

One has to wonder how on earth does an ex greyhound trainer – who once trained a champion dog that was later found dumped in an emaciated and in a severley neglected condition – manage to secure the position of Director of operations for Battersea Dogs Home?
Picture – Velvet Rebel once trained by Peter Laurie and present CEO of the Retired Greyhound Trust – found abandoned in dreadful condition. Rescued by Tia Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue and now enjoying a safe and loving life 🙂
EDIT: Peter Laurie was not the last trainer or breeder to exploit Velvet Rebel – the dog was passed on to Charles Lister OBE and then a breeder. Regardless – Peter Laurie still earned money from this dog and still supports a racing/gambling industry that is responsible for the suffering and deaths of thousands of dogs every year.
Velvet Rebel has since passed away after years in a loving home.
