“Mustang Layla”
Just me looking cute and gorgeous. I wasn’t a bad racer in my day. I won 19 of my 108 races , I am not very big, 26 kgs on a big pants day, but what I lack in size I make up for in heart.
I get my bandage off today which is a pity as it got me lots of attention. My racing days are over apparently but my trainer wants the very best for me. Contact Deb if you are interested. No need to come to Scotland as I am still with my friends in Ripley, Derbyshire.
UPDATE; When I said the bandage got me a lot of attention I didn’t realise it would give the “do gooders/antis/jealous morons” a chance to have a go at the people who cared for me until I found a home. I hurt my leg whilst racing, it was fixed and I was nursed backed to full health…it took about 8 weeks and during that time I got extra treats as I was no longer a toned athlete. Unknown to me the wheels had been put in motion to find me a home and here I am now.
So exactly 2 months after finishing racing I am in my new home, it’s great and I love cheese. I wonder if they’ll like these pictures better? Love Layla.

Fibbi (previously know as Chief Marker) is doing well in his new home…
Fibbi is doing really well. House trained, doesn’t get on furniture, walks to heel. He is becoming more “dog”, has started to sniff around & is mesmerised by other dogs. He’s not keen on the little ones (i.e. happy ones), so far he’s been on the lead all the time & I think that will continue for quite a while, we are working on getting him to recognise his name at the moment. He follows us around & have a large soft dog bed on each floor for him,
He seems happy.

We have decided to make better use of our online shop. We will be posting things all the time.
There will still be all our usual stock items but we are also adding items that we get donated. We get some really lovely and varied items and we will be updating the shop on a regular basis.
When I say we, I mean Emma our Pickering shop manager. She is brilliant and does this voluntary, in her own time.
We aren’t in a good place financially but I will post more about that after the shows and Zip Wire challenge.
