Baby Hilda is a beautiful 18 month old pup who the industry would have put to sleep as she was too small to race. At only 22kg, she might be a teeny-tiny girl, but she really does have the biggest heart!

Hilda LOVES being around both people and other dogs and is super affectionate & playful. She loves cuddling up with you and, given the chance, will literally lay on top of you for a Sunday morning snuggle! She is currently living happily in foster with two other hounds and is great around smaller breeds.

Hilda settled very quickly into her foster family’s routine. She is clean in the house, sleeps through the night and travels well in the car. She is happy being left for a few hours providing she has another dog for company but, when Hilda knows her people are around, she understandably likes to be with them. When he’s working from home, Hilda is quite happy curled up at her foster Dad’s feet and he doesn’t hear a peep out of her. He describes her as “an absolute joy who is always making him laugh”.

As expected of a young dog, Hilda is very playful (with both humans and other dogs) and has short bursts of energy where she enjoys doing zoomies around the house & garden or collecting whatever prized possessions she can find! After a few minutes however, she’s worn herself out and is quite happy to settle down for a snooze. Hilda walks well on her lead but does have a high prey drive so couldn’t live with cats or small furries.

Hilda has experienced a lot of changes already in her short life and she now needs find a forever home where she can really settle. She is looking for a family who can shower her with love and attention and who understand her age, playfulness & energy levels. She would love to find a home with another dog she could play with.
