Tarzan (Rusheen Bouler)
10/7/2011 – 24/04/2025
One look at him was enough. He calmly returned our gaze. We tore up the plan and his docs went straight to the Sponsor Dogs file. It simply wasn’t worth the risk. Trialled twice in Ireland without increasing anyone’s pulse and rocked up at Tia soon after. Tarzan was barely two years old and like so many, culled early from the game he was bred for. Rusheen Bouler wasn’t even registered with the GBGB.
Still our lad was on the payroll and has earned his corn. It is impossible to count the number of girls he has welcomed over the years. Tarzan was easy to look after and earned his promotion to the big kennel (house). He thoroughly enjoyed getting fussed over by his old flame Lana, but the young strumpet Duchess was more than he could cope with. Over the last few months, he became a bit wobbly but still enjoyed the outings with the others to the beach. Still adored his ham slices at two o’clock, (Sainburys Taste the Difference) and could usually be found following a stray sunbeam around the house.
We are going through the wringer at the moment and there is a big hole in the house tonight. Tia does not just lose a dog, it loses a member of our family. Tia’s sponsors, staff and supporters have known the day was coming for a while. I would personally like to thank the sponsors who have remained loyal, some travelling specifically to see him over the years.
Thanks for the love big lad. So gentle at the end.
