Sponsor an animal
Our monthly sponsor scheme has proved popular since reintroducing it a few weeks ago; maybe you’d like to make a regular contribution to support the care of one (or more!) of our sponsor animals too? You can sponsor any of our long-term residents for as little as £4.50 per month! And, as all sponsorships are gift aid eligible, your sponsorship could be worth a minimum of £67 per year to us.
L-R: Sandy, Izzy, Spot & Dot, Hubble, and Bungle
Rehoming
Just seven of the dogs who are currently looking for the perfect sofa…
L-R (top): Branno, Sassy, Rolo, Boost
L-R (bottom): Mars, PJ, Elsa
Branno: this four year old boy has a very placid, gentle nature and walks calmly on his lead. Always an absolute gent and will make a wonderful addition to some lucky home.
Sassy: fun-loving 4 year old that needs to be out of kennels sharpish, making heads turn and jaws drop as she sashays past!
Rolo: playful, sweet and first to give a cuddle. There won’t be a dry eye in the house when he leaves.
Boost: A quiet big black dog, sitting in his kennel awaiting a family to overlook colour and size. He has been waiting a year now.
Mars: very quiet and unsure. Needs someone understanding to bring him out of his shell. He will find his way with the right family.
PJ: A lovely calm and steady 3 year old. A little bit smaller than some of our other boys.
Elsa: a super girl who is going to bring someone so much joy. You can’t help but smile when she is around.
If you are interested in rehoming a dog, please get in touch with us at 07974 960684. You can read about all of our dogs here. We request a minimum donation of £350 to adopt a Tia dog.
Rehomed Dogs
Bert (Otis/ Ruffian Han) was adopted at the end of May and has taken the saying, “he’s got his feet under the table” to a whole new level! His lovely new family tell us his favourite things are – sharing toast, being with his humans, laying in his patch of dirt when it’s warm and taking things to the garden… especially the duster! It sounds like Bert is loving his new life!
Lovely Lily was adopted a few months ago and it’s clear she is bringing so much joy to her new family.
Meltham coffee morning and August Dog Shows
Our next fundraising event is Avril’s Tia Coffee Morning, next Saturday (2nd August) 9:30AM – 12:00PM, at the Church Hall, Greens End Road, Meltham, near Huddersfield HD9 5NW.
There will be stalls selling homemade cakes, plants, and crafts, plus a raffle and tombola. Please support Tia and Avril if you can.
Unfortunately dogs are not allowed inside the hall.
In August we have our two dog shows in Halifax (24th August) and Nairn (31st August). The rosettes arrived the other day…
Please download and share the posters where ever you can! Links below.
We are always in need of items for the tombolas; teddies, bottles, tins, toiletries, jigsaws, candles. Absolutely anything.
Please have a look in the cupboards and see if you can spare anything or just buy random items when you are out shopping. Ask family friends & colleagues. Every little helps.
We had a tin of lobster bisque soup and a big jar of gherkins that did the stalls for ages, back in the day. It was a standing joke. We were well put out when someone actually wanted them…!
Items can be dropped off at the farm, or at the Pickering shop. Message collect@tia-rescue.org or call/ message Jess on 07966238886.
We are also wanting more volunteers to help out on the stalls, we have a fantastic bunch but more the merrier.
