Jack

This week we said goodbye to Jack…

He arrived from the stray kennel in October 2015. Description: emaciated with bad kennel cough, 3 year old whippet x staffie. Went out to a few homes on a couple of occasions, but he never liked the uncertainty of seeing other dogs.

For such a small lad, he would turn into a ball of fury at the drop of a hat, but he was always happy and content with his lot at Tia… he loved it when the girls would stay over and he could spend the night in the flat or caravan.

Old age caught up about a month ago, we thought we would lose him then but he battled on for another month. A few days ago his pain had come back and the vet was summoned. Thanks to Moray Coast Vets for coming out so quickly.

He stuffed his face with cooked chicken and I held him as he went to sleep.

Sleep tight Little Jack Jack. Gonna miss you.

Kiah too is mortified, that’s two husbands she’s outlived.

Fundraising Stall

Our fundraising stall will be at Trinity Walk Shopping Centre, Wakefield tomorrow Saturday 21st June, 10am to 4pm ish, in our usual place outside Sainsburys. We are not allowed to have dogs ourselves, but the shopping centre does allow dogs, should anyone like to visit us.

We will also happily receive donated items for the Pickering shop or for future tombolas, which we are always in need of. This includes bottles, teddies, plus items for children and adults. Please remember that goods should be in a clean saleable conditions, food items must be unopened and in date, and toiletries unopened.

Thank you Riaflex

Thank you so much to Riaflex who have sent us a 1.6kg bag of canine joint plus HA. It’s a great supplement which we give to all the dogs. It helps with the oldies & previously injured dogs with their aches & pains. We highly recommend you try it for your dogs too if they have any joint issues
