Christmas Raffle

A huge thankyou to everyone who has bought raffle tickets so far. Entries close midnight 22nd December – get your tickets here.

There are prizes to be had and they’re not all on here…

All of this (and more!) delivered anywhere in the country.

Plus don’t forget the second prize of a “Week at Tia” in the caravan, which for an additional donation of £200, this can be upgraded to a week in the holiday let.

Please note: Raffle entries have to be made manually via direct bank transfer – in your payment reference, please include the order number you receive in your confirmation email, so we can confirm your entry! If you do not receive a confirmation email, get in touch with us.

You are only confirmed in the draw if you receive an “order processing”/ “order confirmed” email after purchasing your tickets. If you do not receive this, get in touch with us as soon as possible to ensure that your payment and entry have been confirmed.

Christmas Gifts for the Dogs

If you want to buy anything for the dogs for Christmas, we just need tinned food.

We have plenty of Chappie, sardines, tuna, digestives and a freezer full of meat and sausages…

Any good quality tins would be much appreciated.

Farewell to Rolo, Mars, Rhys, and Jim

Last week we bid a happy farewell to Rolo, Mars, Rhys and Jim, who all went north of the border!

After a 10 hour journey (and an overnight pitstop at Tia!), it was onwards and upwards for our black boys, and time to meet their new families!

Jim was dropped off en route at his new foster home, but he will be looking for a forever home in the not-to-distant future. Perhaps more importantly, he has found the toy box! Rhys is going into foster with a view to adopt, whilst Rolo and Mars have both been adopted.

Black boys, as you know, always wait the longest so it is wonderful that not 1… not 2… not 3… but 4… black boys will be in a home for Christmas!

Thank you to our very own “Santa” for transporting our precious cargo and to Rhys and Rolo’s foster families for the part they have played in making this happen.

Fair to say they are loving life!

The Girls

So, enough about the greyhound boys… how are the girls getting on? Bonnie, Dolce, and Lizzie all went to new homes recently, and we think it’s fair to say they’re doing well!

Herbie

Fortunately for Herbie after he had been attacked and dumped, he ended up with Leeds Dog Wardens. They stitched him up, looked after him and when his time was up in the stray kennel they contacted us.

We have a very long standing and good relationship with them.

Maggie stepped in to foster him as he needed to be near Donaldsons vets in Huddersfield. He was loved, nursed back to health and bonus, Maggie found him a home.

So three months later, he has relocated with his Frenchie buddy and his mum and dad to Lossiemouth, just 20 minutes away from Tia.

Can’t wait to see him.

Hilda

At 13 months old, Hilda is only a baby. She has never been schooled or raced and is a complete blank canvas.

Understandably shy to begin with, Hilda has been in her foster home for just over a week and is already starting to come out of her shell.

She is currently living with a Greyhound girl and two terriers who she loves to play with. Hilda needs a rehoming with another dog for company and to show her the ropes.

Fundraising Events

We had a great turnout last Sunday for our Tia Christmas Walk at Cannon Hall. Here are a few photos courtesy of John Siddall.

We will have our final fundraising stall of the year this Sunday (21st December) at J32, Castleford. Hope to see you all there!
