Auction

A massive thank you to everybody who took part in the Tia Auction. The total stands at an amazing £2991 (including P&P costs), and will likely break £3k once the last few items are paid for and sent out.

If you have either not received your items or are struggling to pay, please get in touch at info@tia-rescue.org and we can help you out!

Also keep your eyes peeled on the Tia Facebook page for future “flash” auctions…

Stamps

From April 7th so many price increases are going to affect us in a big way. One way you can help with now is stamps. We would be very grateful if you could buy some stamps before the price increases & send them to the farm.

The best place to buy them is from the post office or shops. Amazon ones are more expensive. The 1st & 2nd standard are the ones we use the most.

Thank you 😊

Rehoming

Arthur

A super straightforward boy, Arthur is absolutely no bother and walks calmly and quietly on his lead. He doesn’t even bat an eye-lid when his sister, Kelsey, is being a giddy kipper! He’s used to turning a blind eye where that one’s concerned!

Whilst waiting for his turn to walk with our volunteers, Arthur fell asleep in the sun and would happily have snoozed the day away. He’s just that sort of boy! Currently sharing with Kelsey, Arthur longs for a bed all of his own and a bit of peace and quiet. After 18 months of waiting, surely that’s not too much to ask?

If you can offer Arthur a couple of daily walks, a comfy bed and a patch of sunlight to snooze, please get in touch.

Snooty Sisters (Kathleen & Kelsey)

Well, who’d have thought it! Whilst Snooty sisters, Kathleen & Kelsey, were busy squabbling about who was the hot favourite to be homed first, guess who snuck up on the inside rail and pipped them both to the post? That’s right… brother George or “George-ous” as he is known to our volunteers!

The girls hadn’t seen this one coming and are well & truly miffed!

If you can cheer up either Kelsey or Kathleen by offering them a home, please get in touch.

Anton

Well… this boy’s no “SEVEN”… he’s a most definite “TEN”! And a few years back adopters would have been clamouring over Anton like contestants over the Strictly Glitterball! Sadly though times have changed and Anton has received no interest to date.

A small boy at 30kg, Anton is quite timid and shy until he gets to know you. We don’t think racing holds fond memories for him as he was a bit reluctant to walk with our volunteers around the track. Away from the track however, Anton really came out of his shell – wagging his tail and increasing in confidence.

A beautiful, gentle young boy who may be happiest being rehomed with another dog.

If you can offer a Tia hound a home – temporary or permanent – please get in touch at rehoming@tia-rescue.org, and please leave your phone number in the email!. We request a minimum donation of £350 to adopt a Tia hound.

Mason

When Mason came to us in January this year he was in a bad way physically and mentally. We have no idea where he had been after being dumped/rehomed by his trainer. He last raced at Sheffield 23rd August 2024.

Tuesday this week he eventually bagged himself a foster home. It always takes time with big black boys….pretty girls are snapped up within days at other rescues.

We have always taken the dogs no one else wants… it’s just what we do. Good luck big fella.
