Mason
Mason – when you get that Friday feeling! Not only is it the weekend, but last week Mason only went and got himself… officially adopted! A decision which surprised… well, no one!
Thanks to Tia and his new family, Mason has gone from a skinny Barnsley stray to living his best life in Scotland.
Way to go, Mason, and happy Friday one and all!
Hugo
When we found Hugo, he had already spent weeks in a local stray kennel. It was hard to believe, because just seven weeks earlier we’d seen him tied up outside a local shop and thought, “What a cracking, happy dog.” At around six years old, Hugo is a lovely, energetic little guy who has clearly been passed around far too much. We know one thing for certain – if we don’t find exactly the right home for him, he’ll stay with us. No more being passed from place to place for this little lad.
Hugo is an adorable mixed-breed who knows some basic commands, will happily give a paw and lie down, and is even pretty good at playing Musical Statues (just take a look at the third photo!).
Hugo is looking for a home with a secure garden and no cats. He is currently in Scotland, waiting for the loving, permanent home he deserves.

News Flash
Breaking news… The Tia news desk has been covering the unfolding Hedgehog hostage situation, and the investigation has taken a dramatic turn!
It all began when we received an anonymous message reading:
“FinD mE A hoMe oR tHe heDgeHOg gETS iT.”
The team immediately launched an investigation, asking our followers to examine the evidence and “like” the photo of the most probable suspect.
Following the shocking events of Saturday, we have thankfully been able to eliminate some of the boys from our enquiries. The latest evidence has made it clear that Paudie and Cha have alibis in the shape of our volunteers, while our followers decided that Dreamer and Jude were the least likely to have committed this dreadful crime!
That leaves just three boys still under suspicion… but it remains unclear exactly which one is holding Hedgehog hostage!
Earlier this week, Tia’s Superintendent, Deb Rothery, issued the following statement:
“This is a fast-moving investigation and our team are working around the clock to ensure the safety of Hedgehog, whilst simultaneously finding loving families for all these boys. No-one should sleep easy until every one of these dogs has been adopted, and we are urgently appealing to the public to come forward with offers of homes.”

Stalls
An update for anyone attending our ’30 Years of Tia Rescue’ fun dog show on Sunday 2nd August: stallholders will be able to set up indoors, so there is no need to bring gazebos.
We’d love you to join us for a great day out at Easter Hardmuir Farm, Auldearn, IV12 5QG. Stalls will be open from 10am, with the fun dog show classes starting at 12 noon.
Entry is £2 per class, with no pre-registration required, and all breeds are welcome.
Sandy
Following last week’s worrying health scare, we’re pleased to report that our beautiful Sandy made a full recovery. Thankfully, it turned out to be nothing more than a stomach bug. As promised, a trip to the beach was on the cards the following week. Sandy absolutely loves the beach.
Sadly, Bungle and Malcolm are no longer with us, but we’re glad they got to enjoy days like these too.
