These past 4 years have been incredibly difficult for the Charity.. with staffing problems at the farm and massive rising costs.
Me and Bob have had to make some really tough decisions.
We have no dogs for rehoming here at the farm anymore, we have just the 13 sponsor dogs. Most of which are old and frail. We also have all the other animals, the horses, goats, 2 sheep, 2 cats and the doves..They will continue to live the life of luxury that they demand on a daily basis.
We have no staff in the kennels at all during the week and only minimal on the yard. We are cutting costs wherever we can in an attempt to survive.
We are still actively fundraising and rehoming back in Yorkshire..thanks to you all.
We have made the difficult decision to try and sell the farm to an investor, with a lease back. This will ensure that these animals are safe for now and can stay put.
If we do find an investor this will free up cash to buy a smaller place back down in Yorkshire. The animals will have a safeguard if anything happens to me or Bob and hopefully the Charity will continue….
The move to Scotland was absolutely the right thing to do. We could have been in a far worse place if we hadn’t.
As always thanks to all our supporters that have been with us over the past 30 years. I really hope that Tia can continue and if you have any ideas at all moving forward…please get in touch.
Thank you…..Deb & Bob
