When they called me from Askern track a couple of days ago to let me know this little chap had legged it, I was very worried…but the owners spent days and nights trying to find him…then the sightings ran out until this lunchtime…
When they rang me to say he had been spotted only a mile from the track we jumped into action. When we got nearby we feared the worst, the traffic was stopped on the A19…Little did we know that the owner of the dog had stopped all the traffic as he was heading for the road. Thanks to the wagon driver that stopped and to his owner for clambering under the lorry to retrieve said dog…We were mortified as we thought he had been run over, but he hadn’t, he had been caught, much to everyone’s relief…
He is worn out poor lad. He is very sore and battered and bruised. He has had pain relief, antibiotics and a tin of Chappie…..slowly, slowly little man…
Wait for your supper.
