Donating

Like all charity shops, we rely on donations to keep going, and if you have items you no longer need, we’d be very grateful to receive them.

You’re welcome to drop them off at the shop during opening hours, and if you’re unsure about what we can accept, just read the guide here or give us a call on 07951076674.

Gift Aid

If you are donating goods and are a UK tax payer, then ask a member of staff for a gift aid form.

Gift aid allows us to claim 25% from HMRC at no additional cost to yourselves (for every £100 of
items we have sold we claim a further £25).

You will be issued with a gift aid number you can then add to your future donations every time you drop them in.

Goods for Sale

New Stock: we sell a small range of new stock in our shop including;

• dog beds,
• dog treats
• kong toys
• collars

There is also our Tia Merchandise which includes our handcrafted dog leads, as well as a range of humorous tea towels and cards from Draw UK.

Donated Stock: donated items for sale in the shop include;

• clothing
• footwear
• homewares
• games and jigsaws
• pictures
• collectables
• dog towels, leads, and toys

…and lots more.

We also have regular donors such as Birsay Books in Orkney who kindly send us a range of specialist books to sell.

The folio books are becoming very popular with our customers,
as well as the artwork from Jenny Wilson who donated some of her beautiful oil paintings to help raise funds for Tia.

Volunteering

We have a great team of volunteers that kindly donate their time to help run our shop, and we would love to have more of you join us.

From setting up window displays, collecting donations, serving customers and restocking merchandise on the shop floor to working in our sorting room, hanging and tagging clothing and cleaning up bric-a-brac, there is plenty to keep us busy.

If you have a couple of hours a week spare why not join us, please call in and speak to Emma or Sally if this could be for you.

Recycling

Recycling is a great way to help us as well.

We collect the following items in our shop which we can recycle to raise funds;

• Stamps
• Old & foreign coins & notes
• Worn or broken jewellery & watches
• Used ink cartridges

These can be dropped into the shop, or posted to the address above
