Del (Waikiki Del)
born June 2019
Failed to qualify back in February after a long career running at Doncaster. Del is a blue lad who tips the scales at 34kg
Del needs a home after 150 races and winning 28 of the things. More once we have talked to his trainer.
“Del is a gentle giant – a happy, smiley guy who just adored his walk with us this morning, especially all the new things to sniff! Despite being a big strapping lad, Del stood quietly whilst we put his harness on and walked calmly on his lead. He didn’t pull, even when we saw a collie who barked at him. Del looked at the other dog with interest but didn’t react. Del is very loving and affectionate and his trainer tells us he’s great with kids. He’s generally a very laid back boy who loves chilling out on his bed”.
He doesn’t owe racing a darn thing.

Bullet (Tells Bullet)
born November 2022
Five races in the North of England. Managed to get his head in front once. Soon stopped any bright ideas in his subsequent races. Very friendly with other dogs and a nice sort. Neutered and ready to take his place in the world.

Parker (Magical Jimmy)
born November 2020
One hundred and twenty-seven races, winning or being placed in over 50 of the blighters. This is what his trainer sys about him.
Really lovely boy. Calm, quiet, friendly. Apparently he’s brilliant with other dogs. Can be kennelled with dogs or bitches. Used to be kennelled with Plus Four (our Nixon). Walks calmly on lead.
Lets hope he has the same sort of luck.

Maura (Rackethall Maura)
born Sept 2022
Dinky girl but with plenty of attitude. Maura had a mercifully short career and isn’t even three.
Managed to get her head over the line first on a couple of occasions but let’s not get carried away. Maura’s talent lies in looking strong and stunning. The lady would probably make an excellent influencer.
“Maura is a dog who probably didn’t find kennel life easy but for whom the outside world was also a scary place. But, after spending the last few months in foster, this shy and timid girl, has really started to come out of her shell and has even started playing with toys. Maura can be a bit unsure of new people, and it takes times to win her trust but once she knows, and is comfortable with you, she is the most loving and affectionate girl. After only a few weeks, Maura developed a strong bond with her foster carers and now likes to make sure she’s front of the queue for their affection and, with a little time & patience, Maura will develop the same strong bond with her new family. Maura currently lives with her foster family’s other two hounds and, whilst she was a little unsure of the humans to begin with, she formed an immediate friendship with the other dogs. Out and about on the lead, Maura will look at other dogs (and cats) out of interest, but she isn’t reactive. Apart from the odd accident, Maura is clean in the house and sleeps through the night.
Whilst Maura is now completely relaxed and comfortable at home, the outside world is still very scary. She is frightened by loud noises and busy places and is walked on a harness to keep her safe. Maura would be happiest in an adult only home in a quiet or rural location with adopters who understand she may be a little shy and unsure to begin with. For those willing to invest a little time and patience, it will be so rewarding when you win Maura’s confidence & trust”.
Beautiful.

Elsa (Explosive Elsa)
born May 22
Her granny was a rockstar. Mum would have failed to get a job in Tescos. Won twelve races though and downed tools in a race back in December. A hock injury, which finished her career. Cuddle monster.
We shall have to prise her away from the kennel manager like a toddler with a toy as Elsa is her favourite.

Kellie (Sparta Kellie)
born Jun 21
Mum had one litter, eleven pups and only Kellie and one another did anything to write home about. Her sister won in April at Waterford, in some style. The other nine never even made the track.
Kellie won five races but her form tailed off, wisely her connections threw in the towel.
Quiet girl who pulls a little on her lead to begin with but soon settles. Ideally needs to be rehomed with another dog as she struggled on her own when her kennel mate Branno got rehomed. Very sweet & friendly.
