Kit (Tierney Choice)
d.o.b. 29.8.21
This is a little cracker of a dog. A Macmanus welfare case. His career in Britain lasted 14 days start to finish, almost eclipsing his Irish form (beaten 23 lengths on his only start). Excellent effort Kit. As you can see, he is a bit motheaten but has vastly improved from the beaten down wreck that was coaxed from the van a few months ago. Kit has begun to enjoy life again,
There are a few scars on this lad’s body, we have discovered that males were kennelled together un-muzzled. As a softer dog young Kit tended to be picked on a bit. We are looking for an owner with a heart. Nothing would give us more of a lift to see him on his way.
This is a nice kind of fellow and the sooner he is out of here the better. Needs love, lots of it.
Time now.

Showandgo
d.o.b. 19/4/20
Sad card filler who should have hung up his muzzle a good six months before the GBGB pulled up on the yard. His mother is called Nomoretogive which says it all. We have no idea what he was doing at Doncaster as he was bred for coursing. Still, ten wins is a respectable total. A big lad, a gentle giant, coming in around 40kg..
Just big, daft, and lovable.
Craddock is in part of the second batch from the Welfare Case previously documented and is now in Scotland taking in the new scenery and not bothered at all by his new friends..

Ridley (Greyfriars Jet)
d.o.b. 8.7.19
Ridley last raced in December 2022. He then was stuck in the kennels until we got him at the the end of August. Product of a frankly mediocre litter. He was one of the nine McManus’s dogs that were lucky enough to still be alive.
Did his bit though, and won on five occasions. Lovely lad and a bit camera shy. Probably cannot wait to make a fresh start, though seems happy here.
He is a lovely big soft lad who is now ready for a family and a home of his own.

Here he is, moving faster than he ever did on the track…

Tubbs (Gowlane Roddy)
d.o.b. 21/7/2019
Tubbs finished racing back end of July 2022. This 35kg lad trailed in last, when priced as a hot favourite and his connections thankfully called it a day. Part of the batch of welfare cases that arrived up here in August, Tubbs has settled nicely. Four of his mates are now on their own sofa, he watched them go. Just another ordinary black dog but could be the joy in someone’s life. It would be wonderful for him to find his family. A big soft lad.
Bit of a looker you have to admit.
Tubbs is beginning to get the hang of the new routine here at Nairn and we are slowly getting to know him.
Now rehomed…

Presley (Vixons Power)
d.o.b. 2/5/2020
Full of beans and very friendly with it. Suit people who like exercise, cross-fit, own fit bits, that sort of thing!
Presley has nothing to be ashamed of with his score sheet. Nineteen wins out of 102 races. Tough lad who has just retired and in danger of being forgotten because of his colour.
Presley is with us in Scotland; Deb a ring if you are interested.
Probably more suited to being in a sole dog household

Reagan (Le Scargot)
d.o.b. 11/9/19
Raced for the final time April 23 and been kennelled ever since. Arrived the end of August with the batch from Lee Macmanus, the trainer subject to a welfare case. Another big lad. He is very bouncy and happy and is ready to go into the world. He is a stunning boy.
