Crockett (Capel Rocky)

Another Macmanus dog. At Nairn with us. Dead heated in his only race in Britain, March 22.  His kennel mate Ridley was a nostril behind him. Then nothing. Probably been in a kennel ever since.

Go back to his grandparents and his pedigree positively glitters. His granny was the rockstar Kildallon Maid, one of the fastest bitches of her generation.

Seems to prefer our place to his former lodgings. Welcome Crockett.

Please ring Deb, Crockett is with us at Nairn

Scottie (Scotland)

Scottie (Scotland)

‘Kilara Scottie’
d.o.b. 2/3/21
This is a young dog who should have been down the road weeks ago. Scottie likes the joint and wouldn’t mind staying on a bit if it all the same to you. None of that nasty racing, plenty of mates and the grub is epic. High time Scottie found his own sofa and place in society. We don’t think he can be homed with cats, so would be suitable for someone knowledgeable about the breed.
His owner had retired from training and almost cried with relief that we would take Scottie. The gentleman had tried for six months to find a place and drove for four hours to bring him here.
From a high achieving family, Scottie raised everyone’s hopes by coming second in a Group One. That sadly proved to be the zenith of his career.  Unlike his four sisters, who are absolute superstars, one bringing home the bacon only last week at Monmore.
His mother can barely hold her head up for the shame.

Sixteen wins at Doncaster. That’s a respectable total for a card filler.  Another Lee Macmanus dog who is lucky to be alive.

Please ring Deb at the kennels. He is with us at Nairn.

Luther (Mustang United)

Another big lad. Luther last graced a track back in May 2022. Managed to win 3 races in his 31 race career but frankly became slower and slower until his connections threw in the towel.
With us in Inverness.

Huge. One could probably put a saddle on him. This a 40-kilo thumping great racer who last raced a year ago for Lee Macmanus. Magnificent though. He will get a lot of attention, and you can brag about his record of 13 wins to whoever stops to gaze at his splendour.

Rescued from disgraceful circumstances in a joint effort with the GBGB, he is very fortunate to be alive. His trainer has been banned for four years. Deservedly so.

Not for a novice dog at the moment but he was only sprung a month ago so needs time. We are looking for an owner that can understand his needs.

Give Deb a ring at the kennels.

Kyero Tom

He is one smart cookie. Tom was never that enamoured with the game and learnt to keep out of trouble in a race. His final few races were a bit rough and he saw the light. Slowly away!!!! Never showed!!! 6th, 6th. 4th. He was forever being requalified and finally everyone got the message.
He is a very friendly dog and his trainer has a really soft spot for this lad. Tom is still with his trainer in Ripley, Derbyshire.
Please give Deb a ring.
