Pickering Charity Shop

For most of our history as a charity, we operated several shops across the Yorkshire region, but rising costs in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic sadly forced us to close nearly all of them. Now, only our little shop in Pickering remains open.

Despite being our last remaining shop, it continues to provide essential income thanks to the massive support from the local community and the work of our fabulous manager, Emma. Simply put, we couldn’t do without it.

Like all charity shops, we rely on donations to keep going. If you have items you no longer need, we’d be very grateful to receive them. You’re welcome to drop them off at the shop, and if you’re unsure about what we can accept, just read the guide here or give us a call on the number below.

If visiting in person is difficult, our team of volunteers may be able to meet you closer to home. We cover South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Derbyshire. To arrange a collection, please email collect@tia-rescue.org with your name, location, and a brief description of the items you’d like to donate.

Opening times: 10:00-16:00, every day

Address: 1A Market Place, Pickering, YO18 7AA

Accepted Goods

We always appreciate your donations. Any donated goods should be in good, clean, saleable condition.

For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept electricals, car seats/booster seats, helmets of any type, pillows and duvets.

We also no longer accept books, CDs, or DVDs.

If you are donating goods and are a UK tax payer, then ask a member of staff for a gift aid form. Gift aid allows us to claim 25% from HMRC at no additional cost to yourself (for every £100 of items we have sold we claim a further £25). You will be issued with a gift aid number, which you can then add to your future donations every time you drop them in.

Please continue to support us by shopping in our lovely charity shop, we need your support now more than ever.
