Rehoming
Dogs looking for a home…
Rodney
Rodney turned 4 in January and has spent the last 5 months in foster. He is a real character and a very friendly lad who enjoys the company of people and prefers not to be left for long periods. Rodney is an inquisitive boy who enjoys sniffing on his walks, snoozing on his bed and is very food orientated. He travels well in the car – jumps in on his own and lays down for the journey. Rodney has also enjoyed trips away in his foster family’s motor home and has even been on a tram in Blackpool where he was very well behaved.
Rodney will respond to his name and will let you know when he wants to go out. He likes to be involved in everything and if he’s in the garden or another room and thinks he’s missing out, he’ll come and find you at lightening quick speed!
Rodney is probably best described as a typical teenage lad. His heart is in the right place but he benefits from firm boundaries so his enthusiasm doesn’t get too boisterous. Rodney would be happiest with fosterers/adopters who have experience of the breed and are around most of the time. He would prefer to be the only pet and a secure garden is a must, as our Rodders can clear a 3ft high gate/fence from a standing start!
Teff
Patience of a saint? Yes, that’s Teff. This gorgeous boy has been waiting nearly FOUR years for a home. That’s nearly 1460 days spent… well… just waiting.
Teff is a lovely, calm boy who walks close by your side and has perfected the art of the greyhound lean. He’s a very friendly boy who loves a cuddle and has a lovely kind face. Teff will be 7 in August so has already spent half his life in kennels and he desperately needs as family to call his own.
Teff is a straightforward boy who would fit in to most homes and would be a great choice for first time adopters. Maybe you have space in your life for Saint Teff?
Orphan Annie
Orphan Annie (aka Blue Bailey) has had a few hard knocks in her short life and is in urgent need of a home after her owner passed away.
Still kennelled with her trainer, she is an absolute dream. The most affectionate girl who loves giving kisses & cuddles and would lick you to death if she could.
She walks beautifully on her lead and often checks in with you. Not because she is anxious but simply because she loves people. And with that gorgeous face who could not love her back!?!
Romeo
Romeo is surely every girl’s dream… Not only is he tall, dark & handsome but he’s kind, calm & well mannered. A complete gentleman who would hold doors open for you if he could. So it’s beyond belief that our Romeo is still looking for love.
Romeo has been in foster for the past couple of months so all the work getting him used to a home, house training etc has been done. He’s an affectionate boy who loves a fuss and really deserves to find his special someone.
Please have a read of Romeo’s profile for more info on how fabulous this boy is.
Blackout and Dreamer – the new boys
Let’s all say “hi” to new boys, Blackout & Dreamer. Sadly for these two, the odds of being rehomed quickly were stacked against them before they even stepped off the track, because they’re black. So let’s give them the best possible start to their adoption campaign by giving them lots of love, likes & shares.
Blackout (above) is a very friendly, affectionate boy whose tail doesn’t stop wagging.
Dreamer is a bit more thoughtful… quiet and gentle. Both love leaning against you and walk well on their leads. You can read their full profiles below
If you can offer any of these dogs a home – foster or permanent – please get in touch at rehoming@tia-rescue.org. Please remember to leave your phone number in the email! We request a minimum donation of £350 to adopt a Tia hound.
Thank you.
Fundraising
Will’s London Marathon fundraiser is now up to an amazing £1260 – the race is one month away, so there’s still plenty of time to reach his target of £2000! Support him here.
Cecilia is doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge for Tia… again! Her total currently sits at £293.
And with over 3 months to go until her walk, there is still plenty of time for that figure to climb even higher! Support her here.
