Bauer is probably the most troubled of the lot. Rumour has it that McManus kennelled dogs together without muzzles. The track vet was always stitching them up. Bauer has scars all over him. He watches every move in the kennels and i only hope he sleeps well on a night. He is coming round, we can catch him now in the paddocks and he is learning to trust again but very, very slowly.
Almost 12 months to the day, Bauer decided that it was time for cuddles. He is a lovely, quiet boy. Absolutely no trouble. A pleasure to have around.
