Rehoming
Fern
Fern is a young Lurcher (approx. 12 – 18 months) who desperately needs a family to call her own.
Found as a stray, Fern is now in foster in Yorkshire recovering from an injury she sustained by accidentally running in to something. Fern’s foster Mum describes her as “sweet, affectionate, cuddly, cheeky & full of beans” and says that everyone who meets her falls in love.
She is still a puppy at heart – energetic, playful and a little bit cheeky. She needs a home that understands this and will give her time to settle, establish routine and continue her basic training. Fern is a quick learner – she has picked up toilet training like a dream and is doing well with her lead walking. She loves being around people and is very social with other dogs. She loves to play, especially with smaller dogs, but is respectful of their boundaries. Fern also loves playtime with people, followed by a cuddle on the sofa. And, like all sighthounds, Faith loves a good nap!
Fern will make a wonderful pet for someone who is willing to put in a little time & effort in the early days. And Fern will reward your efforts with her unconditional loyalty & love.
Tommy
Warzone Tom was a champion. A top class athlete. His name was spoken in reverential tones and no doubt hollered by his connections as he racked up the wins. Warzone Tom was his public persona… Tommy is the quiet and gentle dog.
And whilst Warzone Tom might have a string of impressive 1st’s up his sleeve, there are plenty of other firsts that our Tommy has yet to enjoy… his first family… his first trip to the beach… his first long Sunday afternoon snooze in front of the fire… his first morning in his forever home.
Please call 07974 960684 if you can offer Fern, Tommy, or any of our dogs a home. You can read about all of them here.
Sammy and Kit
Sammy and Kit left the kennels this week, and went to their new home in Yorkshire.
Vasco
Vasco was at the vets overnight this week, with some sort of stomach bug, the likes of which we have never seen in 29 years. He is on lots of medications now, but fingers crossed for a full recovery.
Kiona isn’t bothered, she is bunking up with Woody now, who is a very happy boy to have a new girl in his life…
Vasco (along with Kiona, Woody, and many other dogs) is available for sponsor here. It costs just £52 per year to sponsor a dog; your sponsorship will help to pay for treats, vet care, and anything else that the dogs need during their time at Tia.
