Maha
Russanda Capri 1.3.15 – 9.07.25
Damn. Well, we didn’t expect to lose her so soon. Our girl has left us only weeks after her devastating diagnosis of diabetes. Tia fired back via her twice daily injections, but Maha headed for the bridge a few hours ago. Maha wasn’t alone this morning; Woody was with her in the van to say goodbye, and Deb & Bob. We should give animals more credit, they need to understand why someone has gone..
When Maha arrived at Tia rescue in October 2017, she was afraid of life, needing to spend her paddock time on a lead. Catching her was a morning’s work. Her confidence grew a little along with her waistline and Maha grew to love the kennel staff. She also idolised Woody, her kennel mate; she slept on him, hid from the world behind him, chased and played with him. Woody was her rock, her reason for living. In turn, he has filled his life watching out for her. I don’t know how he will cope.
Maha had all she ever needed in Woody, that and a good feed. It has been a pleasure to watch their devotion over the years. Thanks to all her supporters throughout the years.
Mainly though on this occasion, thanks to Woody for making her time with us so precious…
