Dogs for rehoming

All the dogs on this page need a ‘forever home’.

We now have dogs kennelled in various parts of the country. The rehoming situation is so dire that several trainers have begged for our help. Some of these folk we have known for years. Additionally, being based in Scotland can be a bit of a trek for some of our faithful adopters.

This is a new venture for Tia, and we are gaining traction with increasing success.

We are still actively taking in strays from Yorkshire.

Tia is about saving greyhounds wherever they are.

If you can offer a home to one or more of these wonderful animals, then please contact us on the email below.

Hilda (Nottingham)

Hilda (Nottingham)

A real professional. 119 races and still setting out her stall, like the tough nut she truly is.   Like so many at the moment on our site, either tiny or enormous. Hilda (love the name) is 26 kgs. Hilda is as game as a pebble and owes racing nothing. Her form has deteriorated of late and she has trailed in behind the others on her latest runs. Time to hang up the jacket. Bit ordinary, bit tired but is owed a sofa and a pigs ear.

Trainer loves her, but then he loves them all.

Marley

Marley

Like so many, a plain black dog looking for a soft place to fall.

Veteran of 111 races and winner of twenty of them. Poor Marley got caught up in a very rough race back in March and ended his career by showing his displeasure! He had won in some style only the fortnight before. Time he hung up his muzzle anyway.

Marley is with us in in Scotland and is becoming a firm favourite with us all.

Tommy

Tommy

We have a celebrity in our midst. Believe me if it were not for a family situation, we would not be getting a sniff of this dog. A superb athlete. Two Group 1’s, including the Golden Collar, two track records and more Opens than a boy can count.

Thirty-four wins. Tommy and his mate Sammy know more of racing than the rest of the barn dogs put together.

Owned by a member of a generation that wouldn’t let a dog out their sight, never mind ownership.
