The Nairn Charity Shop.
After closing all the shops in Yorkshire, apart from Pickering which is run by our amazing Emma, I never wanted anymore and now I remember why.
We only opened it because we had Hazel to run it. The first 6 months were brilliant but after she badly hurt her back we had to rethink. To be honest the last 3 months have been awful, it has hardly covered it’s costs, the ceiling collapsing hasn’t helped and then the staff and volunteers started falling out in lumps. Absolutely ridiculous. Yesterday, Wednesday 6th it was closed.
It is not closed forever we just need to have another plan of attack and hopefully get our Hazel back in there if only part time.
We are still taking donations but please don’t leave them outside. Ring me and I’ll arrange to meet you there.
The shop will be open soon and I just want to thank everyone for their support….we are just having a pause.
